What a lovely family photo,
all in their best formal wear too,

No K-mount cousins?

What's the chrome piece on top of the 67 grip? does not look like a flash shoe
Thank you

Yes I've several K-mount Pentax as well....duh!

That chrome piece is the flash shoe, but with a small ball head (like a tripod head), and on that pic the flash shoe is tilted 90 degrees to one side

I used to have a Pen F and a Pen FT but sold them all. I had the 40/1.4 lens too on the FT. I recently found my Exakta to Pen F adapter which I used with a number of Exakta mount lenses. I'd like to get a half frame but can't decide which one... I wish I could find a Ricoh Auto half frame with a working selenium meter. I like the spring wind motor drive they have... Fuji has one too.

I have a Bell&Howell/Canon half-frame. It's the only Canon I own.

It is far better than it deserves to be. And the spring-loaded winder is great fun.

Half-frame TMAX 100 is right at the sweet spot for my local lab's scanner...
I need to find a 24 exp roll to use... I haven't used it in too long.

A Dial 35 then? I always thought those were interesting looking cameras, but I've never had a chance to try one.

I had one of those once, but it was not working and I got it cheap to try to fix it and I couldn't. I like the canon 1/2 frames, the Demi17 or 28, but the one consistent problem with the Canons is they use allot of light seal foam and it's usually a mess to clean out. Most have the whole inside back covered in it.

i also like the Olympus Pens and I had an EE and EE2 but the selenium meters were dead and they're pretty useless without that unless you're shooting flash. I like the Pen D2/3... faster lens, no selenium, but a nice one tends to run over $100... if I'm going to spend that much I'll look for a Pen F.

Some new gear to try out. It can focus really close. Shown with a 80/2.8.

Very nice! I picked up a C220 recently and have just put the first film through.
The C3 is the heaviest of the series from my understanding.

My lens had a little bit of haze in it. I was going to send it for cleaning but I found a posting on a forum somewhere that it is easy to unscrew the front and back lens group from the shutter mechanism and then clean the lens elements closest to the shutter which are prone to haze from the oils in the shutter/aperture mechanism. I did this and the lens is super clear now.

Thanks, yes, that's a good tip. It also came with a 180/4.5. And the viewing lens is real hazy and the taking lens looks like it could use a cleaning too. The 80/2.8 in the photo looks in to be in good shape. This camera has a studio camera feel to it. It is heavy for sure.

Does the C3 have the parallax correction thing in the viewfinder?

I wish my Yashica had that... though it doesn't focus super-close, so it's not a huge deal...

It has two horizontal scribed lines in the ground glass. You focus, look at a scale for a closeup factor and pick one of the lines (or interpolate between the scribed lines) that will represent the top of the frame based on the closeup factor. You don't get to see the bottom of the frame. With the 80mm I can focus as close about 6 inches (15cm) away from the taking lens. That close the parallax error is huge. You'll have to guess where the bottom half of the composition looks like.
