Indeed, AOHC is a wonderful resource.

I give Mr. Kreckel (Certo6) a lot of credit for helping overcome a fear of vintage folders.

(...I hear he also does vintage Leica and Canon rangefinders too...)
Heh - Mark Hama worked on my Spotmatics before I found Eric. I had to call first and speak to (I presume) his wife, who spoke faster and more sharply than a Carry Out order clerk. But they came back in perfect order and cleaner tha I sent them.

I guess at one time I was up to several hundred links in my Pentax Bookmarks Folder - and so far I had evey one mentioned here - but I lost the .pst (I think it is) file when I upgraded WinNT to XP

So -
J. Colwell (SPLOSDB)
Stan Halpin at Stan's Pentax
Mark Roberts' Service Manual Archive (and re-do of the Vivitar Series 1 70~210 series)
Yoshihiko Takinami's Lens test pages

And that's just Pentax. I understand quite a lot of the Monaghan Cult Classics material is available at Fred Miranda.

I think 15 years is a long, long time and we've all gotten a bit older.

Let's not forget our own Nesster (Jussi) who publishes scans from vintage books and magazines on Flickr.

How about -

The Manual Focus Lens forums, where there's a lot of good and informed discussion on the lenses we use on our old cameras. It's a bit 'lively' at times and there are many people there with strong opinions, but it's a great resource for MF lenses.

And here's a little known corner of the universe, The Camera Collectors forum. The knowledge of some of these guys here is astonishing, it's a very.......'gentlemanly atmosphere' there but non the worse for that.

This thread may take on the guise of a resource in its own right!

Have we mentioned Ron Herron's Mamiya site?

Mamiya 35mm Cameras by Ron Herron

...and for manual focus Minolta,

The Rokkor Files

...and for Yashica rangefinder cameras, there is the Yashica Guy

Yashica Electro 35 & Rangefinder camera user Homepage

BTW...the Yashica guy (Joe Wolff) is a source for hard to find mercury replacement battery adapters.

Another ditto for the Rokkor Files, and Karen Nakamura's Photoethnography site; I have both on my Favorites as well as some Kodak related sites (for Retinas, etc.). I also go here for Yashica rangefinder info (sort of a complilation of links and articles):

How about those who sweat the details about the many different cameras of the former Soviet Union (FSU). One of my favorites is SovietCams.com:

(...yes, there were that many versions of the FED 35mm rangefinder camera...)

Hey, that's a local guy(s - father and son)! I've actually met up with him and bought an Olympic Zenit-E with a pristine Helios 44.

Thank you, Vranx. It is Misha's site (and the links to other Kodak site that he has) I go to when wanting information on Retinas first.

This one may be of interest to you if you've not found it before. He also does his part to keep many models in service.
