Just got my film back

I took 1 roll with my ME Super. The other roll I took with my Spotmatic F. No masterpieces here but both rolls were exposed properly meaning the light seals are good and the meters still work. I was happy.

I remember putting my first roll through a second hand ME that I bought.
Its light seals are almost all gone and the mirror is scratched.
The photos came out fine.
After every shot, I put it back in the bag to minimise the length of time that it would be exposed to the light.
I'll get it repaired eventually, but glad it works.

Good News, Seventy,

I was kindly given a non working ME Super by a PF member HockeyDad.
I was able to fix it partially by just accessing the actuation mech under the bottom plate correcting a hang up, and cleaning with solvent.
I ran a roll and it is working fine. I will put a phot up some time.
The light seals and mirror damper are deteriorated.
Other problem is that I think there is dry lubrication higher in the body that occasionally causes the shutter not to fire, especially when cold.
To access that requires removing the top controls and I don't have the tools or the eyesight or steady hands any longer * so I am wondering if i should get it repaired.

(* moving to medium format where the nuts and bolts and negatives are of a proper size to tinker with!)

A good idea

I should check my mirror damping especially on the Spotmatic F. The mirror flop seems pretty loud.
