The SP took a mercury battery which is banned
you can use a 392 or equivalent battery but make sure polarity is correct (flat part goes down)

The K1000 battery is the wrong physical size. Google "S400PX". This is a 396 silver cell with a plastic spacer fitting to provide appropriate diameter. When the battery dies several years from now, keep the spacer and just replace the core. Don't worry about the difference in voltage between the replacement and the original mercury cell. The meter in your camera is not voltage sensitive.
