Now, the Beatles is entirely appropriate here, as they were confirmed Pentaxians. Photographic evidence.

What camera did Ray Davies use back in the day...

Well, they "had" a camera, but could they use it? How do we know they weren't just posing with it. Where are the actual images from said camera . . . They photo is more famous for George Harrison trying to figure it out than actually using it!

Who knows about Ray or Davy.

Actually there is a scene in A hard days night where Ringo is using a spoty. As I recall he dropped it in a stream? maybe someone can correct me if wrong on that.

And let's not forget, Sir Paul married an Eastman as in Kodak. Can't get more film related than that...

Paul definitely knew how to use one... here's a self with a Rollei

Just from how the glass looks, I'd have to suspect it's longer-than-wide, anyway. Just all subjectively and all. Someone can probably ID it, though.

I know I am. look at the overhang of the lens body on the mount. its quite large. im still putting my money on an 85 but It could possibly be a 135 2.5. if the photo was taken at even a slight angle it would be easy to tell. what I can say though is that his nice lacquered black body is pre-spotmatic. im guessing an SV.

Oh, I miss read your earlier post. I thought you said it was a 35mm and I thought it was too small so I said 55. did not see the 85 or BIG 35 part. Yea, that makes sense.
