I was thinking the very same thing.
Well by the looks of things, if this thread drives the price up enough, they may become available quite quickly.

I might even know where an enthusiastic Pentax film shooter could find a black one and a chrome one.

I just picked this up last week from a collector in the US, I'm waiting for it to arrive in the mail.

Fortunately the premise of the original question put forth is somewhat flawed. If financial circumstances dictated selling off some gear, then of course the K20D would be the first to go. It is a wonderful piece of gear, but being an electronic wonder it is damned hard to feel any love for the thing. My film gear was all picked up for so little money, and consequently would generate so little if sold, that by no means would I ever be forced into the choice of keeping only one of them. I could more easily slow down my shooting to fit a reduced film developing budget than I could force myself to part with any of them.

No bricks here...

But my favorites of all are the (I can see the virtual bricks being thrown at me...) are the P3, P3n and P5.
The Pentax P series cameras are very capable yet underappreciated.
As such they are also a real bargain.

I liked my wife's P3n so much I bought the near-identical P30T.
AE lock is the "killer" feature that sold me.

I've always had a soft spot for the ME Super and regular ME. I would love to own an LX or MX. The K2 is pretty special, too.

I would have to go with a bunch. Canon F-1N would be my obvious favorite in practice. Also very fond of the Nikon FE2, (doubtless would find the FM3A even better) ...and the LX is probably of a class, though I haven't used one extensively.

Really have a soft spot for the Canon FTbn, as well.
