My 17mm showed up and I must say. I thought my Sigma 10-20 was wide, but this thing looks ridiculously cool through the view finder. I off to shoot a roll..

Hi folks. Today was Christmas for me as I received my latest cam and I can't wait to use it. It is an ME F that I purchased from our Chris Platt.
Christmas for me today as well, as I got my black KX!

The Refconverter is also new, literally!! I highly recommend one as an accessory; it’s really useful when using a tripod or for macro work.
(It will save your back, so you don’t have to bend over to look through the normal viewfinder.)

This model is for the K2 DMD, K2, KX, ES & ES II and has a built in Diopter ring, the only thing missing is the rubber eyecup.

I have never heard of that 18mm Lens? no focus?

After using that 17mm lens today, I can see that being. at F/8 its hyperfocal distance was 2.7 feet or so. Amazing.

I got my ME F today. It is in really good shape except the shutter needs some adjustments. Eric said he can handle that. Unfortunately the battery door won't stay shut with batteries in it and that may be a trickier thing to find a replacement for. I could leave a quick release plate on there.

Javier,

What do you think about the viewfinder in comparison to the ME Super. It is impressive compared to my SuperProgram.

I shot a 1/2 roll yesterday and the view finder is the same as the ME SUPER. AWESOME!

Ya i am thinkin about it, I cant recall when the last time that I bought film, although I do have some old outdated film around here somewhere. what I really need is a negative/slide scanner, I want a dedicated scanner that is hi resolution/quality, do you know of any that are reliable and quick?

thats quite beautiful, and I want that 55 really bad, really bad. but if im not mistaken the 'K' wasn't introduced until 1958 or possibly 1959? it was shown at photokina in 58, that I know for sure. the original 'Asahi Pentax' pr otherwise known as the 'AP' was introduced in 1957.

ME-Super and SF10

There are two film cameras that I like and still own. The ME-Super is a great camera. It is like light weight of the body and the fact that without a battery, it still works.

The other camera is the SF10. This camera lacks the light weight feel of the ME-Super but camera has a nice solid feel to it. The other factor is the fact that I found that the SAL series 18 to 55mm lens on my new K-m will work on the SF10 body. It only works in program mode and shutter priority mode but you get a cheap wide angle lens that can be used with limitations as noted in the photo link.

I well not be using these guys on a regular bases but it is nice to get them out every once in a while.
