I don't buy much on eBay for various reasons, but it is fun to see odd items such as this KM or this A3000: Pentax Film Recorder Camera ?Very RARE Digital to Film Conversion ARRI | eBay.

What is that for? It looks interesting, but… what is its purpose?

Maybe to attach a beauty dish, or a buffer pad to wax your car while taking photos at the same time. I have no idea why a big plastic disc would be required to "convert digital to film".

Ohhh I read that wrong. Convert digital to film. Hmm. If it was a pad to block out all the surrounding light from a monitor, if you sized an image to the size of the hole, would it expose film properly without any lens attached?

Yeah, I had to look at it twice too. I don't know if that disc would do anything, and I can't tell from the photos in the listing if a lens could be attached or not, but you can see the bayonet tabs.
