Don;'t know about the US stores, but up here, its almost impossible to find a limited in stock, especially the 77. Once in a while you can find a 43.

I had to wait about 3 months for my 77.

As there are already some nice photos of the silver lense on black bodies I won't add mine, but will make an observation. The sliver 77mm ltd is the primary lense on my K10D, and I never seem to notice the color as peer through the viewfinder.......

Don't have any photos of a silver 77 on a black body, but you can take a look at this thread:

MZ3 Cameras and Matching Lenses
That black MZ-3 looks super cool. I wonder how many they built.

Does the other FA limiteds also have the same writing like on the 43, only not on the inside ? (Limited in red letters, made in Japan, etc.)

I've noticed the same! I'm so tempted to just get the 31/77 and get my LBA over with rather than agonizing over them over the next 2-3 years...

I've noticed Prodigital 2000 on Fleabay lists the silver lenses for anybody who's interested. In comparison to the US stores, their prices are quite reasonable.

Me...I can't afford to have one of each (essentially 2 FA sets), but perhaps I'll pick up either a silver 31 or 77 at some point.

Had a similar leather strap too, but I did feel it's not as comfortable as a normal one:

I would love to get every silver film body Pentax made and CLA them and get them re-wrapped in some smoking hot leather and put them on my wall like some kinda Andy Warhol poster. Maybe I will...

Pentax ME super with FA77 f/1.8 limited (black) ...I prefer black because it's alot less conspicuous for street photography. MY Hexar RF is black and so are the lenses. and if I use Voigtlander lenses which are chrome it just looks sloppy. Though the 31mm f/1.8 limited looks good no matter what finish it has.
