What could be causing this defect?

This is on my LX, I tried 4 different lenses @ infinity and this blemish shows up in all of them. Doesn't happen on my Super Program.

Bottom-left corner...

Any ideas?

Jamey

A hair?

Could be caught on the curtain #1 at the edge.
Try putting it in B and looking around at the upper right with a bright light and lens off.

Yep, check for hair.. even the back of the lens, inside the lens (though that would probably look less sharp)..

Perfect, found the culprit!!!!

I thought it was my FA77 which is glued to my LX lately but after trying all the lenses at infinity I knew it had to be the camera.

Thanks!

If you see a clearly defined fiber, it is almost always something that landed on the film or has adhered to either the edge of the shutter curtain or the frame edge itself. Junk on the lens casts a more diffuse shadow.
