This reminds me of an article I read about the work that goes on in the darkroom at Magnum to produce the images we know so well..

Magnum and the Dying Art of Darkroom Printing | the literate lens

Marked Up Photographs Show How Iconic Prints Were Edited in the Darkroom

A photograph isn't a photograph until its been processed, be it film, paper, and magic wands in the darkroom or Photoshop.

Thanks for these, I recalled seeing something like this but couldn't find it...
