Incredible Deal or... Canoscan 5600f

So I was just browsing Amazon and saw this:

Amazon.com : Canon CS5600F Color Image Scanner (2925B002) : Slide And Negative Scanners : Electronics

If you're not seeing what I'm seeing, the Canon CS5600f is... $18 and change.

I bought it (with $20 shipping) since I've been looking to replace the little cheap projection slide scanner that I've been using. If this really is what it looks like, that's an amazing deal. If it's not what it says it is, I'm returning it. :-P

Edit: Oops, this might not be in the right section. Forgive me. I was excited.

At $128+ shipping it is not much of a deal; this is old technology and you can find one used for about half of that. Better yet to purchase a new Epson v600 as they produce greater resolution or a used Epson 4990. Flatbed scanners haven't progressed much in the past ten years and the market is close to moribund.

Price was around $18 when I clicked on it just after snakes posted.

I still have the page unfreshed, $18.74 from Calco Industries.
A new page shows $127.59 from Galactics

Yeah, my receipt still shows $18 whatever and Amazon says the order is "Preparing for Shipment" ... It was from "Calco Industries", which is a different seller than listed now.

Even though it is an older scanner, it's head and shoulders over what I have for scanning now, and if I really did get it for less than $20, I'm thrilled. I'll let you know how it all pans out.

The dream is over. Order cancelled. ;-) It wasn't my top pick, but I was willing to give it a go for $20! Guess I'll just have to save up money like the peasant I always knew I was.
