MZ-6 and M lenses

Hi,
I'm thinking of getting the MZ-6, which apparently will work with my Pentax-M 50mm/1.7 in both Av and M modes.
I'm slightly confused because I read the instruction manual, and it recommends putting the lens into A and using the camera to control aperture.
Does anyone know whether I would be prevented from closing the aperture? And if not, would metering still work at different apertures?

The MZ-6/MZ-L/ZX-L will work correctly in Av mode with M lenses.
It can do Av mode via the aperture ring, or via the camera body when ring is set to A.

It is a great little camera that is packed with features.
I actually like my MZ-L more than I liked my MZ-S.

yeah I'm really excited for this. I considered the rest of the MZ series, but this seems to have the most lens compatibility. A shame because I preferred the button layout on the MZ-5.
I'm hopefully getting it with the 28-80mm for just £30! perfect addition to my collection - MX, K5, 50mm/1.7 M, 18-135mm DA
