Bitten by the autofocus bug... is 43mm too wide?

Hi,

I have another brand of autofocus camera and it has a 40mm 1:8 lens. It has turned out to be a really great all around picture taking device. With the reasonably fast lens and the autofocus it is good for indoors low light conditions (with ISO Correct Film) and the large field of view has turned out to be really good for impromptu street photography as well. Also by getting close to a subject you have a lovely blurring of the background which is good for person portraits instead of floating head shots. It is easy to forget that sometimes the background is a very important part of the story telling of a photo and I have come to enjoy a wider lens. This is of course just my opinion and YMMV. LOL

I ended up going with the F 1.7 and love it... thanks for the input!
