I am now after an AF 50mm lens to go with my MZ-5N and K-01 to supplement the FA20-35 and Voigtlander 90mm.
Looking at other choices apart from the FA f1.7 and F50 f1.7 (not really after a 1.4 version due to cost) the only real choice seems to be the DA 50mm f1.8.
I know I will loose Av mode as it has no aperture dial, but from searches here it looks good.
Another option seems to be the Sigma 50mm f2.8 Macro, which is FF compatible, has an aperture ring and is apparently very sharp.
AFAIK the Sigma 50mm f1.4 HSM wont work due to the HSM motor, it also lacks an Aperture Ring and is out of budget.
The FA 43mm f1.9 Limited would be perfect but is well out of budget now at ~£350+ when they come up for sale. The DA40mm Limited and 40mm XS are a little to close to the 35mm on the FA20-35mm to be useful to me. The DA55 f1.4 is also well out of budget.
I am looking ideally around £150, which the FA 50mm f1.7 and F 50mm f1.7, as well as the Sigma 50mm f2.8 Macro seem to go for second hand.
The DA 50mm f1.8 looks the best value ~@£100 new although with the reduced functionality.
Any other 50mm AF Lenses about?
