Pentax lx issue

Hay,
I just bought a lx camera and the mirror stays up when i use the michanical speed (2000 to 125 of a second) . When i switch it to automtatic ore 30 to 4 sec it flaps in richt position. I saw that it cant be the battery because then the problem shoud be turned around( 2000 to 125 dont need battery)
Somewhone knows this problem?

No idea, have you tried to remove completely the batteries and repeat the experiment at low speeds?

And also i made more than 36 try's without film how can i get it on 0 again?

don't have a LX but usually film camera film counter reset itself once the back is open (like a button on the fridge door to turn off light when fridge door is close).

Sometimes old, sticky seals could affect both the mirror and the little pin inside track for the film door that resets the film counter when the door is opened. That's your first possible solution - replace the mirror bumper and door seals. (On an LX the mirror bumper is not as simple as on many other SLR's).

This sounds like sticky mirror syndrome. Mine is currently doing this intermittently, but normally only at slower shutter speeds.

If you were on this side of the Atlantic I would say send it to Eric Hendrickson. But I have no idea who services the LX in Europe.

Without opening the back on my loaded LXs I can't say for certain, but I don't think LXs use foam seals. This sounds like a job for Eric Hendrickson at pentaxs.com. He is the go-to man here in the States.
