The DSLR Discussion may not be the best place to ask this question.

Or are you hoping to catch those of us that finally weaned ourselves off the LX?

Picked up my 1st LX (new) and winder in 1984 for a trip around the world...sadly stolen with a ton of other gear in 1993. Picked up a used copy in 1994, still have and used in Cuba and South America. For our last trip (Thailand, Laos, Viet Nam, Cambodia and Burma) invested in a K3 and numerous lenses..not missing the chemicals and enjoying getting up to speed with Lightroom

Cheers

I had an ME Super in '80 and was ridiculed by a co-worker who said it was a toy compared to his AE-1.

Well, size isn't everything. I loved my ME Super so much I bought three more... I still have the original, although it is sadly not working.

Like Kris, I could not have afforded a new LX back when, but I didn't even get an SLR until 2002!

Yep, count me in... I got my original brace of LX's new when defected from Nikon F3's.

I've still got at least one still about the place.

I looked at the price of the LX and looked at the price of a Pentax 6x7 way back then. I went with the 6x7 for the IQ advantage at the expense of portability.

I too used Nikon when the LX was new. But no doubt if I'd had that kind of money then it would have been spent on a better car.
