Good that you appreciate them. They were taken by a simple Braun Paxette 135 leave-shutter camera. You have to adjust the f-stops, shutter speeds, and estimate the distance, all manually. Great German-made camera though!
The next 2 attached were also taken in 1960. It was 15 years after the WWII, and a lot of reconstruction were carried out in Sandakan, British North Borneo. Those RC buildings were relatively new. There was not much traffic around in those days. Those Chinese (Hakka) labourers (2nd Pix), with their broad-brim hats working on the road construction were a regular presence then. They are all part of history now...
