Getting the Spotmatic F to Stand

I notice that if I use a plate under my ZX-M's battery pack, it will stand--with an A 50/2 attached--when placed on a surface. I gather the Spotmatic might stand if I screw the plate into its tripod mount, but I plan on keeping the bottom half of the case (which I have not yet received) attached. From what I remember, there is just the knob on the bottom of the case. Any ideas?

Hi: The screw knob has a short tripod mounting thread in the center, so you can mount to a tripod or mount a plate with the bottom half attached to the camera..
