Here's a question for the old school Pentaxians. I recently found, in an estate sale box, what turns out to be an interchangeable viewfinder for the LX camera. These are apparently worth some money -- anyway, B&H was selling this model for approx. $230 until they ran out of them just a couple of days ago, and now they're discontinued. I will probably be posting an ad for this one on eekbay later today or tomorrow and hope for at least a modest return on my near-zero investment! But the main reason I'm mentioning it here is so maybe somebody knows what two extra pieces are for. I'd like to know what I'm talking about in the ad.
The extra pieces are basically two more plasic covers. Extra piece A is identical to the cover that slides onto the bottom of the viewfinder for storage. Extra piece B is a complement to A - in other words, the cover slides onto it just like it slides onto the viewfinder. My guess was that piece B is for keeping dust out of the camera when no viewfinder is attached. Does anybody know? I can take and post pictures of those pieces if it helps. I was just assuming they belong with the viewfinder; maybe they're unrelated. But I was going to include them in the auction.

Listing auctions has been a lot more fun since getting my Pentax, for what it's worth. I've been enjoying setting up the shots, playing with light, going for a little glam.
