I loved the look and feel of my Pentax KX. The viewfinder was large and bright, and the little periscope for the aperture reading was handy. The blue shutter speed and black meter needle, for me, were way better than the MX light bulbs.

I loved, also, the functionality of the MZ-S, but its looks don't turn me on.

You and Chris Platt vote for the KX. It is, indeed a great looking camera that was a film replacement for the Spotmatics. Not to be confused with the more current digital Kx.

Don't forget that other companies wanted credit for selling Pentax. A long time ago, in England, the cameras were sold as Honeywell Pentax. Maybe others tried to cash in on the Pentax success.

It is a nice sexy looking camera and the shape of these modern digital cameras fits like a glove on your hands. They are one-handed instruments if need be. But, as you rightly say, the plastic body leaves a lot to be desired. As a metallurgist, I can't overcome the feeling of cheapness in a plastic finish even though it doesn't rust, and can take knocks a bit better than metal.

Very pretty lens, too.

Do you like Honeywell Pentax or, maybe, Ricoh Pentax?

When exactly did "Honeywell"---The USA Importer/ Distributor, sell their branded Pentax in the United Kingdom ?.

Is it even possible to announce the winner of such a pagan? All of us will have different opinion on which camera score highest.

Well, it is fun to try. My vote goes to all black versions of the Ap, S and K. The dream win would be the Ap.

This was sold on ebay for 1450usd In 2013.

My juvenile brain proclaims the Optio NB1000 to be Pentax's most beautiful.
It's only as ugly as your Lego building skills

The most beautiful in my eyes, and a joy to hold. The Pentax K.
Agreed, that is a beautiful camera, and your photo doesn't disappoint.

Has to be the MZ-S, for me. Bit biased but I love the size, unique and distinctive shape as well as the weight, its just about spot on. Only let down by the plastic and horrible rear panel with date function.....

I'm sorry, I can't see the camera. All I see is an incredible FA 43 Limited.

I have a beautiful Mamiya 645, but I'll keep it to Pentax cameras here. I really like the SE models' brown leatherette:

I've always been a fan of the K2 DMD, the looks, the heft, the build. It's one solid camera:

I could live without most of the other cameras mentioned but the lens on that K? I rather covet that. I've never managed to get my hands on a zebra lens and I do rather like them when I see them. One of these days, I guess, but something like that would just be the bomb on my SPII's...

The lens looks good on all kinds of cameras...even those that might not win everyone's beauty competition...

It's not the only make of zebra, of course, especially with the Eastern European lenses. I even found a Russian Helios 44 zebra (M39) recently. But it is the most beautiful, I think, and I enjoy using it on the above cameras.

The silver Pentax K that utak posted would definitely be my favorite.
