How else can you take a photo of the LX through the eyes of another LX . . .
How? HOW I ask you?
Is there an answer?

Oh swoon. So glad I succumbed to the siren song and got myself another LX. My first was BEAUTIFUL like yours, essentially mint. Happily my replacement is a study user that I'm no longer afraid to press into regular service.

But that F3 is a handsome beast too :-)

Mine is actually far from mint - but backlight and contrast gussy it up.

The LX is definitely a beautiful piece of kit, especially with the 50 1.2 or 85mm on it, but it seems a little unfair to compare it aesthetically with the F2 with a metered prism. Against a plain prism F2, well, it's a more even contest for sure.

It really is unfair to compare the LX to any other . . .

But at least there the F2 is CLEARLY the runner up, just behind the LX and miles ahead of everything else. That Minolta prism... For shame.
When I bought my F2 I should have made it an LX.

Until the LX, you had to choose between function or art!

It must have dawned on Pentax designers that they can make a changeable viewfinder camera without making it look like a changeable viewfinder camera.

And of course the LX had a great gene pool to draw from . . .

Mmm, not quite.

The F2 without metered prism looks...well old.

The LX with hot shoe is very well designed (you don't see it from the front like with the Canon F-1 AE prism) and without it is very small.

I reckon Minolta's designers thought the Photomic head on the Nikon was the benchmark for a professional look...
