Pentax 67 sync flash

Hello everybody,

I am new to the forum. I own a Pentax 67 which I love and I never had any problem with it.

Now recently I did a shooting in studio and today I picked up the films and almost every shot is underexposed! Negatives are almost "empty". This never happened to me before...

I noticed after the shoot that the Flash Sync cable was in the "FP" and not in the one I always use "X". Could that be the reason of this problem? I didn't realize that at the beginning, and never used the FP. Since I saw flash working fine when pressing the shutter, I didn't even imagine there could be a problem

Thanks for your help!

Welcome. FP is for flash bulbs and is a forward point socket. I think it fires off early for the long duration of flash bulbs. Most likely that was your problem.

Hello,

I did some other pictures on the weekend with the cable on the "X" - everything was fine.

Thank you!
