M42 - Pentax Spotmatic, 2 prakticas, ~10 lenses.
Pentax K - MX (In the mail), KX (Until last week), SMC-M 50 1.4
Nikon F - F2 (Plain prism), ~8 lenses

Adaptall - 3 lenses, 2x each mount.

Actually that's not so much as I thought. Would kinda like to ditch the M42 gear (just don't use it, changing lenses and having a dark VF sucks), and then eventually get down to either just Nikon F or just Pentax K, depending how I feel about the MX.

So, an informal poll: how many and what film camera systems / mounts do you have - you must have at least one body and at least two lenses for it.
Pentax M42
Pentax K
Pentax 6X7
Canon FD (and N)
Canon EF
Nikon F (NAI and AI)
Miranda
Minolta MD
Minolta A
Olympus OM
Mamiya RB67
Mamiya ZE
Mamiya NC
Cambo SC
Calumet CC
Graflex Supergraphic

I feel like I'm forgetting one of them.

Of course: I forgot three.

Yashica M42

Just (!) four for me:

Pentax K
Pentax 645
M42
Minolta SR

Plus a bunch of fixed-lens rangefinders, compacts, folders, TLRs........ but they don't count as systems.

Adding my large format

4X5 Shen Hao
whole plate Seneca Improved with 5X7 reducing back
whole plate Butcher and Son
around 30 boxes and cans my wife has made into pinhole cameras

The whole plate cameras we share and sometimes she uses my 4X5.

I have been offered several 35mm cameras but no interest in them and had a chance on a nice Bronica 6X7 for a real good price but turned it down. It was used by a newspaper photographer who is now retired and using a small digital system. I also have access when ever I want it to a Fuji GX680 and as no one else uses it i could borrow it for years on end if I wanted to.

I only use K mount (2 KX's 1 MX, 7 primes). And i'm actually not that interested in branching out to other systems. I'm mainly leaning toward expanding my lenses collection. The only reason I would do otherwise is to explore new formats (Widelux, Pentax 67, ...).

what an interesting question and even more intersting to see how people seem to spread across multiple mounts and formats.
The following mounts are in regular use:
Pentax 67 (fillm)
Pentax K (film)
Rolleicord TLR (FIlm)
Pentax M42 (film)
Nikon F (film)
Pentax K (digital)
Add a few 120 folders and box cameras, a couple of fixed ens digital bodies and we are pretty much there.
My 67ii is my primary workhorse, but I tend to have a ME super in my bag no matter where I go these days and my rolleicord is probably a close third in terms of use.
If only Leica M bodies were a little cheaper, oh well

Wow.... people are actually *talking* about Pentax outside MF.
Not to derail this (please don't expound upon my thoughts) but reading through all of that, it only makes sense in terms of owning a system, e.g. invested in (especially fullframe variety as most of us are here) Pentax glass. Many detractors cite the mirrorless phenomenon, which I think (I won't lie) is very cool... but. But there will always be something to be said of a genuine, hardy SLR camera with a history of glass to use without adapters in it's native format, particularly if it is a true optical finder via a big, bright prism. People want that. I want that.

Back to your regularly scheduled system talk.

Oh, my...true confessions time

Large format:
  • Chamonix 045N-2, 4x5 field camera, teak, CNC alloy, and carbon fiber (2010)
    • Various 120 6x7 film holders
    • A reasonable quiver of lenses in Copal 0 and Copal 1

Medium format:
  • Mamiya-6, Fixed lens 120 rangefinder folder (Mid 1950s)
  • Yashica 44 "Baby" 127 TLR, fixed Yashicor 60/3.5 (~1957)

35mm Rangefinder:
  • FED-2 LTM (~1963)
  • Zorki-4K LTM (1975)
  • Canon P LTM (~1959)
  • Kiev-4A Contax/Kiev (1962)
  • Yashica Lynx 1000 Fixed Yashinon 45/1.8 in Copal SV (Early 1960s)
  • Yashica Lynx 5000 Fixed Yashinon 45/1.8 in Copal SV (Mid 1960s)
  • Olympus XA Fixed Zuiko 35/2.8 (~1979)
  • Voigtlander Bessa R3M Leica M (2015)

35mm SLR:
  • Pentax SV, M42 (Mid-1960s)
  • Pentax Spotmatic, M42 (Mid-Late 1960s)
  • Ricoh Singlex TLS, M42 (Late 1960s)
  • Mamiya/Sekor 1000 DTL, M42 (Late 1960s)
  • Pentax Spotmatic II, M42 (Early 1970s)
  • Minolta SRT-101, MC/MD (~1969)
  • Pentax KX, K (Late 1970s)
  • Ricoh XR-2s, K (Late 1970s)
  • Ricoh XR7 (two), K (Early 1980s)
  • Pentax Super Program, KA (Mid 1980s)

I guess that makes 22 total, though it seems I am forgetting one somewhere

Edit: Jussi reminded me that I did not read the original post properly. That being the case, I will quality that my addiction currently supports 8 systems as defined by mount. I have split up my listing above to reflect the mount types. In my defense, I have bravely resisted adding Olympus OM, Nikon F, Nikon S, and Contax/Yashica to the 35mm portion of the list and despite severe pressure, I still lack Pentax 6x7, Pentax 645, and other tempting medium format systems.

Steve, I'm sure you are forgetting something... what a haul... But how many are systems, with >1 lens and/or body? I'm counting 7 lens mounts...

All 7 mounts...8 if you count the large format stuff. I have at least normal and wide angle lenses for each mount on the shelf. I also have flash units compatible with each camera that supports sync and dedicated flash for those that support that. I believe it may be that last phrase that correctly labels me as ill.

I am just amazed at the sheer number of camera systems that many of you still have. I would imagine that once you acquire a system, you hold on to it forever.

Me, I currently have only 3 systems: Fuji X, Nikon F, and of course Pentax K. I have previously owned a number of other systems (Canon, Bronica, TLR, Hasselblad, Voigtlander, Leica, etc.) but I don't keep stuff that I don't regularly use - I sell it to fund more purchases for my current systems.
