Will a lens from the Pentax ME Super fit a Pentax K1000

My lens for the K1000 and need a quick fix and found a cheap ME super. Just wondering if it would fit the k1000

Many thanks

It should, yes. Any manual-focus Pentax lens and any Pentax AF lens with an aperture ring should work on any Pentax SLR camera of that era. I think there's maybe a handful of later bodies dating from the late 1980s that have issues (what they call the "crippled K mount" and one or two other curiosities), but these two ought to be fully compatible.

The ME Super and K1000 are not "A" series cameras, so they make use of the aperture in the same way. While the K1000 is a total manual camera, the ME Super is an aperture priority camera in it's auto mode because it pre-dates the "A" series and later which can set the aperture automatically.

Your lens will work exactly the same way on both cameras.

I have both me super and k1000 and use the same lenses on both. My lenses are all m series and they work equally well on either camera. I believe any k mount lens will work for either of these cameras.

Thank you all! You have been wonderful!
I ordered a different lens as I found a cheaper option and after doing extensive research I'm 80% sure it will fit and work etc.

But on another note, k1000 are brilliant aren't they?
I have to develop my photos today and I'm a bit scared of how they turned out. (First time using the k1000 but I have used a film camera before)

Excellent. Let us know how they go. I was VERY concerned when I eventually went back to film, but I didn't have to wait long to finish the roll - it was 12 shots, 100 ASA Fuji, had been lying in the bag with the camera, 20 years out of date, and I told myself "This is probably the last 12-shot roll of 100 ASA film on earth". It was a bit underexposed, but it proved the camera worked and now I have both Lens Buying Addiction and Camera Buying Addiction.

Any K-mount lens that has an aperture ring. Those without won't work very well.

Unless they are (eg tele mirror lenses with) fixed aperture.
