Ask this in most of the other subforums and you'll get a different consensus I'd reckon.

Did it drive you nuts 20 years ago?

Just got 6 rolls of E6 back from the lab. I had shot 3 of these in April but didn't get around to sending them in (no longer any E6 labs in my state) till shooting three more rolls this month. I don't think I'm any more nuts than I was in April.

Honestly - all the "got the shot or not" sort of talk aside (which I agree with - it doesn't bother me not seeing it at all)... Even on digital, one of my favorite things is going back a year or two or three and finding cool images I've very little, or sometimes *no* memory of taking or just otherwise forgotten about. It's like finding treasure. Shooting film I get to experience that nearly every time unless I turn a roll over in within a day or two or took copious notes on the shots, both of which are rare.

I'm glad I learned photography when all we had was film and the latent image.
I am content to wait to see my results; in fact I have learned to enjoy waiting.
Though I'll try my best if I miss the shot, I miss the shot.

If you must use digital because you are afraid you might miss the shot, your photos are made of fear...

Looking through binders of prints I made 40 years ago beats seeing a 'draft' of the image I wanted a few seconds ago.
