Those who think Top Plate Button / e-Dial ISO manipulation is finicky ought to run a roll through a K2.
I always struggled to set film speed on my K2 and K2DMD bodies, even after learning the knack.
The concentric controls make it easy to inadvertently change exposure compensation setting as well.
Nikkormat and Olympus OM-series SLRs placed shutter speed control on a ring around the lens mount.
I never liked this design, though it's not nearly as bad as the Pentax K2/K2DMD arrangement.
