I had a brain fart, and opened the film door briefly on my SF1 before rewinding film. The body is new to me, I thought it would start the rewind on open... DOH.

Anyway, any hope of any of that film still turning out? Should I just toss the roll?

It depends on the lighting and how long you had the door open.
If you were under relatively indirect room lighting, opened the door and immediately shut it it's likely that some of the pictures toward the center of the roll will be useable.
If you were outside or took a second or two to realize something had gone terribly wrong you likely won't have anything useable.
The least risky thing, money wise, would be to have it developed but not printed.

I dev it myself, so at most I'll be out an hour and a bit of Rodinal... I think I'll dev it, I just didn't want to waste my time. It was outside, but in the shade, I just cracked the door open enough to see the film was across the shutter and closed it. This was with bulk rolled film...

That being the case, my guess is you'll have more useable photos than you'd expect.

Here's hoping! I think something funny happened at end of roll, perhaps I didn't tape the end of roll very well when I wound it up.

Yup - dev it. Not all will be lost. You may get some light bleed along the edges of the rest of the spooled roll, but it could even look cool, if not "presentational".

Done that with my SFX. If you were at the end of your spool, you're likely to lose only the last 5-8 exposures, unlikely to have stuffed the rest completely.

Yea, if you're just running it through rodinal go for it. It'll be better than the time my bulk film spooled up crooked and pushed the top of the cassette open!

Pretty sure we've ALL been there.

After having done it more than once, I've made a habit of testing for rotational resistance on the rewind crank before pulling it up.

Yeah... that's the problem with the SF1. It has a film advance motor, you can't play with a rewind crank to test whether the film is rewound. Not the end of the world, but I'll hopefully not do that again.
