Watching the Re-Wind Knob turn slightly when you advanced the film confirming there was film in the Camera at a wedding shoot.
And it was advancing

Thinking that any lens longer than 135 was a serious piece of glass

One of the rolls of film you gave your Aunt from their daughter's wedding (my cousin) to be developed, was instead a roll from the bachelor party.....

When people wanting to present a "slide show" of their vacation pictures, had to at least invite you over and feed you a meal, not just make the pictures vibrate your telephone at 1a.m.

Remembering to pull the dark slide and then remembering to put it back in place.

Making sure the 8x10 inch sheet of film was properly inserted in the holder so it wouldn't fall into the bellows!

In the old days "high iso" meant shooting ASA 64 Kodachrome instead of ASA 25.
10ASA! The 25 came later...

Chimping was looking at the yellow tab stuck in the holder to remember whether you had 24 or 36.
20 or 36, 12 and 24 came later.

In them days as well as 135 (a camera ready cassette) you could get daylight and darkroom loads...
That had the film type punched into the long 23 sprocket hole leader.

Cassettes were readily reloadable!

Trix and HP3 were 200ASA!

You had a choice of Panatomic-X, Plus-X, Super (double) XX, and Tri-X. I liked the 4x5 Polaroid sheet film packs with an ASA up to 3000!

Panatomic-X

Enlargers and darkroom work

Single ASA rating per roll - or DIN - none of this ISO nonsense

Crappy Crappy Consumer Quality pushed by Kodak and co

Selfies !!?? I took them since I was 7, if not earlier. So they did exist... but you had to figure out the focus yourself and usually frame blind.

You'd take the last picture on the roll in the most crucial moment in a wedding ceremony, and your compact camera would start winding the film (36 exp) instantly.

I wish modern digital compacts would make that buzzing sound when the card is full, instead of just a boring message on the screen.

You load your film developing tank under a red light and not in a totally dark room or in a changing bag.

Trying to remember if the silver side out (on the dark slide handle) means you've exposed that sheet of film or if the black side out meant that, because you changed how you did it every other time you changed film out the film holders.

When you could buy a good camera body and not have to upgrade for decades.
