Actually, fill flash is mostly what I have in mind. Could anyone verify whether the 280T works in this manner? I would be using it with my ME Super and ZX-M. I did a brief Internet search, but was not able to find any factual data on the 280T in terms of fill flash capability.

Thanks,
Glen

I don't really use flashes at all, and ive only used my AF280T a handful of times on my superA but it does have a high/low setting if thats what you mean.

here is the manual: password: Pentax

Thanks, Seamuis. I, too, have used a flash only on a handful of occasions, and that was back when I had a Nikon N80. The idea of adding extra light just does not sit well with me. I would rather wait until the light is "right," shoot from another angle, or just try something else. I have always liked shooting in ambient light. It just seems natural...I suppose because it is.

Thus, I will consider to ponder the addition of a flash. I could spend the $84 on yet another Super Tak...hmm...

I'm really the same way, ambient natural light is certainly more favorable. I thought I would need a flash on occasion so I picked up the 280T, turns out I really don't, but cant really bring myself to sell it. personally I would go for the Takumar if I were in your shoes but if you think you would like a flash, hey it never hurts to have one around.

I appreciate the advice, Seamuis. I am leaning toward the Super Takumar. I suppose I could use a 50/4 macro or a 105/2.8. Hmm...perhaps a call to KEH is in order.

Glen

Good decision, Glen. I think the answer to your flash need is spelled C-H-E-A-P V-I-V-I-T-A-R.

Excellent point, Nesster. I just reserved the 105/2.8 Super Tak.

Glen

ZX-M, I have an extra AF160 I got with a parts camera for my ME super. It's yours if you want it, I don't know the difference between it and the 280. Send me a PM if you want to try it.
