Could light leaks lead to washed out daylight photos?

Mine definitely needs mirror bumper replacement. I figured it out with the spot of the light leak, but can foggy-sort of, washed out images be caused by light leaks? Fujicolor C200, Pentax ME SE, smc-m 1.7 50mm

Look at the negatives with a strong light behind.
Rebates and interframe gaps need to be uniform apart from frame number and film Id.
Easier if you use mono film.

If they are not uniform you have a light leak somewhere.

Some light leakage from the viewfinder can happen even with a good mirror bumper. That's why an eyepiece cover is recommended for long exposures or any time you are shooting without your eye over the viewfinder.

But yes, this could lead to metering errors or the negatives getting flashed.

The most common area for light leakage is at the hinge. In this case the area outside the normal frame, e.g. sprockets will be exposed too. It's best to change all the light seals and mirror bumper at the same time. Even if some seals are marginal they will deteriorate soon enough.

Posting scans of your negatives may be helpful.

Favorite Classics / Jon Goodman's Seal Replacement Instructions

The foam can let light leak, get into shutter, stick to mirror and ground glass screen.

The kits Jon sells are as good as his instructions.

But I use mouse mat, double sided pressure sensitive tape, scissors, wood meat skew, qtips and zippo.

It is hard on the mouse.

I've used one or two of his kits. They are really quite cheap and perfectly put together. Seconded.
