I expected that the first digital cameras would be like databacks.
I was wrong and sold all of my Minolta gear before that market went South.

Boy, weren't you lucky! I got rid of my Dynax (Maxxum) 3xi in 2000; Minolta wasn't doomed yet, possibly crippled but not doomed, and it wasn't that the camera was at all terrible (it had served me well), just that my bought-for-the-hell-of-it P50T was so much fun that I didn't want AF or motor drive any more.
