Of course, if the camera is in good working order, it should help your daughter make good pictures. Knowing details about its origins can be interesting, but perhaps that is secondary to its functionality.

Hi yes maybe the origin is of more interest to me than her . However following on from that comment can anyone advise on a film for general "go out and shoot" photography.

The local "pound" shop here stocks an Agfa vista 200ASA film for .... a pound. I've used it and to be honest found an out of date Truprint film gave better colours. Maybe the camera was overexposing.
