Eveready case (or similar) for ME Super?

Does anyone know of a source for new or (more likely) used Eveready cases? I'd like to get hold of one for my recently-serviced and ready-to-rumble ME Super. I'm typically using it with either a 50/1.7 or 28/2.8, nothing much bigger than that.

If not Eveready, I'd consider any other nice quality case - though I'd prefer something with an age-appropriate look and feel.

I've had a quick look on eBay UK, but nothing obvious there...

MESuper ER cases are really tough to find. The pleather material has a tendency to crack severely and eventually fall apart completely, meaning used ones look horrible and the once-a-year NOS/NIB you might find might fall apart in your hands (happened to me once - $35 down the tube). Same for MX cases.

Ah... thanks for the heads-up... I guess I'll just use a small camera bag then!

If you really really want one badly, get a junk one and have someone remake it out of a material you like. I recommend a soft vinyl like Naugahide. Leather likes to get moldy when you aren't looking.

That is a very good price and worth following through on. If it turns gummy or cracks with use, at least it can be used to make a pattern from which to craft something out of truck-weight vinyl upholstery.

Yes, I have a 1936 Zeiss Ikon Nettar with a leather case.
The case used to get mold when nothing else around it did.

So I have hung it out in the garage , away from my old camera stuff.

We have had last few days here with high humidity, nearly 100% sometimes.
Tonight I picked up the wood cutting board near the sink and it was growing mold underneath. First time I have seen that.
I have washed it in vinegar and set it outside.

That $5 one is worth a bid. I had my experience in 2001 according to my records. I am truly astonished sometimes to see NOS items like this. Where have they been for 35 years?

I still have my original case with my ME Super, purchased in 1980. Still looks good, and is holding up well for being 36 years old.

I am curious, is your case leather or vinyl? Pentax offered both as options for some models at various times.

Mine is leather. It's starting to show a bit of age, a few small fissures in the surface, definitely not pristine anymore. It's been around the block few times but is holding up remarkable well for it's age
