I am going to be picking up an MX soon. I will want to have it CLA'd and new seals and foam put in.
What should I budget for this service and do you folks have any recommendations as to where to get it done?

Another recommendation for Eric Hendrickson.
Eric charges around $70 for most Pentax SLRs.

And another recommendation. Eric's done a few of my cameras over the past few years. I just had another MX, which is a gift for my sister, done by him a month ago. Total cost after shipping was $85 USD. That included full CLA and cleaning plus all light seals & mirror bumper, as well as return shipping.

Eric's web pages says he charges $65 for Spotmatics, K1000 and ME not including parts so I'd expect a minimum of $65 for an MX.

I just had the same service performed by Eric on an ME, including the light seals and mirror bumper and it was $85. The ME of course is not an MX but that should give you a ballpark of what Eric charges.

Oh, and when you get your quote, post back because I have two MXes that I'd like to have CLA'd soon.
