SV with meter and 35mm Bushnell lens

Well, my most recent eBay purchase arrived today. It cost me $22.50 shipped and is in excellent cosmetic condition. Even the goo on top of the prism from the light meter all came off with some elbow grease. The meter works and after pulling the bottom plate and cleaning things up, I got the shutter working again. The 1/250 speed is still a little glitchy so it will be making the trip to Eric before I'll trust it but I think I did pretty good for an SV in really nice shape.

Nice find. The older Pentaxes were built like tanks!

Your pic links are borked from where I stand, so I can't comment on the cosmetic aspects, but I'll congratulate you on your find. I've recently been shooting your camera's downmarket cousin (the S1a) and it is sweet.

There, that should have fixed the pictures.

Nice find! I'm about to send in my dad's SV in to Eric this week, as well. I'm afraid mine will need a new mirror. And the goo from the light meter or flash attachment has solidified. Be sure to enter the serial number in the serial number thread.

I just entered the SN as a defective example. I'll green it up after I get it back from Eric and confirm it's perfect working condition. What is wrong with your mirror? Is that something that Eric can fix routinely and are the parts available? Does he just cut a new mirror and install it or does it have to be an original part that he pulls from a parts camera?

I believe Eric downsized his old stock of factory parts when he moved sometime back. But he does buy parts cameras for spares.
