K-1000 rewinder problem

Does anyone know how to open the back if there's no rewind knob?

IIRC, you have to get something to hook inside the hole where the post normally is. I think a knitting needle might do, or a bent piece of paper clip.

If the post is still there, a pair of pliers works, though careful you don't strip the threads on the post.

Take off the bottom cover and remove the circular plate under the film roll. Then you can push on that shaft from the bottom.
