I have found messing around with the dials taht they are more fiddly, you need better dexterity and often to use two hands. Just a surprise when I saw it after the design of the others that are easy one handed operations.

It isn't unusual for pro cameras to have locking knobs to prevent accidental movement.

Take it from me, it took me over an hour, with the manual, to figure out how to work my Canon EOS 1Ds when it first arrived. Talk about fiddly controls.

I am still quicker with a K1000 (over 30 years of practice will do that) but I have gotten pretty adept at handling the LX as well.

Just to be clear, I am in no way suggesting it's a bad camera, but those two annoyances which I found a bit odd.

I always aspired to a Nikon F2. It was the acknowledged standard for professional 35mm system cameras.
The Pentax LX system is slicker and more user-friendly but IMO was no match for the Nikon system.
I have owned both cameras. I sold the Pentax LX but expect to keep using my Nikon F2 forever.

Can you share pics/details showing what you think is missing from the rewind?

Since you're not sure it is possible that maybe something is missing so you should show what you mean. I have been comparing it to a lot of different vintage cameras and I have not noticed it and now there are two of you who brought it up so it has me curious.

My answer is "no".

Same type of plastic on the dial for the 67. Cheap doesn't come to mind there either.

After a while with it I am coming round to the dial and have mostly stopped thinking about the rewind knob. I think it was just after the MX it was all quite different.

It's also surprising how much better a camera looks once you have it working properly :-)
