I'm currently hauling around a Nikkormat FT. I like that it doesn't seem to move when the shutter is released, and that the screen looks like a movie screen. I don't find AF lenses particularly interesting, and the screens in AF cameras are mushier/'brite'r and may not be accurately placed enough for manual focusing with manual lenses. It's nice to shoot knowing there won't be any surprises from the machinery, it allows me to think about other aspects of what I'm doing instead. I find the MX too small, the K1000's perfect.
