I've been trying unsuccessfully to find out what the differences are between the Spotmatic F and SP F. can anyone fill me in on the details? Thanks

SP F is just a shorter way of typing Spotmatic F. Easier to engrave it on the top plate...

Same camera..."Spotmatic F" is engraved on the front and "SP F" on the top.

Same camera, just worded differently between paper (written Spotmatic F) & what's on the camera (written SPF)

I don't remember if Honeywell imported the Spotmatic F, or if it was introduced after Pentax set up their own import subsidiary.

I mention this because, in the Honeywell era, the plain old Spotmatic had no model designation engraved on the top plate, in the Honeywell version.

In the Asahi version, there was an SP engraved on the top plate. Honeywell may have carried forward the same quirk on the Spotmatic F.

Honeywell did import the Spotmatic F.
