Pentax Motor Drive "A"

Have had my Super Program for a couple months now that was CLA'd when purchased.
Gone through a roll of Portra 400 so far with great results.
I am one to like getting extra attachments to these old cameras.
Picked up a like new condition Pentax motor drive "a" to attach to it.
Talk about awesome
I love playing with these old things that function.

I've got the same kit only I have my MDA attached to my Super A. I like black! The motor drive really adds to the quality feel of the camera. It just feels so substantial. It sounds awesome too. I'd like to get mine out with my 300mm Super Tak and try to get some decent wildlife shots with it.

Took it out today after work with the A35~105 attached.
It fills my hand better and is very comfortable.
Took a shot at a small buck and if I had to advance the film by hand would not have been able to get the second shot before he sprinted off.
I like it

ctrout, get out there and do it and have some fun.

I've got that 35-105 too Clarence. That's a beautiful lens and an amazingly well balanced and versatile combo with the Super Program and the MDA. Make sure that you post up your picctures of that buck when you finish the roll.

Will do that.
This roll is with the A35~105 and the next roll is with the A70~210.
The winder does indeed offset the weight of these lenses on the Super.

Buck pics as promised.

Here are the two pics of that small buck just before he sprinted away.
Super Program on "auto".
Pentax A 35~105 on "auto"
Portra 400

First photo taken is left full sized as taken.
Second photo taken I cropped to show the detail.

I have a Pentax Digital Data "M" coming for the Super Program.
Buying older equipment stuff just does not stop, does it ?

A Super-A with an M40mm pancake hardly protrudes beyond the Motordrive-A - this is my favourite Super-A setup. The Super-Tak 300 looks cools, must try mine out someday.
