Found this Pentax oddity while searching ebay for film cameras located in Canada - the Pentax K100
It’s on auction from Henry’s Camera in Toronto. Starting bid USD $499.95
I can imagine that stranger things have passed through quality control checks! Henry’s doesn’t explain it nor does google provide any information. Are there any other known Pentax oddities out there?

INCLUDED ITEMS:
Pentax K100 35mm Film SLR Camera Body
SMC Pentax-M 50mm f2 lens

CONDITION:
Here is a rare opportunity to own something rather unusual to say the least! Yes, this body is engraved K100, and NOT K1000.
It is in good used condition with normal light signs of wear. There are a few light scuffs and a bit of finish wear to the exterior. The satin chromed brass covers do seem to have a bit of light pitting in the chrome, but the body still looks good overall. We did notice that the shutter curtains do not open all the way across at the 1/1000 of a second setting, which is quite normal for this type of shutter considering its age. All the other speeds appear to be alright. Otherwise it appears to be in good working order. Due to the vintage nature of the item, we are selling it as is without our usual warranty.
Serial Number range: 62241XX.
cheers
