Great pictures Nesster, really like the camera commercial look of the outdoor ones. Not too fond of the camera(program plus) itself but none the less very nice shots!

Sadly I have nothing to share with you in form of camera porn... but I will be watching this thread.

Why must I always lie to myself?

I found one... Spotmatic with 55mm 1.8. Camera of your dreams?

1958 Pentax Asahi "K" with Zebra Lens

My 1958 Asahi Pentax K. I love my original AP's, but this one is something a little special.

The lens is an f/1.8 55mm, and is semi-automatic. It is actually quite a significant achievement for 1957/8. This was the forerunner of the later Super/SMC f/1.8 55mm lenses.

This lens was top-of-the-line in 1958. It had the fasciated focusing ring with dual scale "meters" and "feet." This lens was ONLY available only with the Pentax K. This was also the first of the famous Gaussian design (6 elements in 5 groups) which became the Pentax standard for the next 40 years for the 50-55mm focal length of that speed.

Damn, those are some nice cameras... that old arch in the prism, in the K and the Spotties is so classic. Frank, that MZ-S sure is nice with that lens. And do all MX's have that lizardy skin?

Here's one more, the KX

For all the many photos I have from my cameras, I have remarkably few of my cameras. Have to get around to taking some one of these days. I've posted this one of my ESII and 105/2.8 before, but I'll add it to this thread until I can do better:

Pentax K20D
S-M-C Takumar 28/3.5

As a general rule I despise neck straps, and find this one pretty annoying. But since it seems to have been on there for 35 years I just can't bring myself to remove it.
