I’ve had to fabricate a similar part for a FSU rfdr from sheet steel, would have been easy in a workshop, but most repair people won’t want to do that given time involved! and i’d not do it again either!

I've sent lots of things to Eric and have never paid VAT or anything on their return. You should not be liable on something you already own and is being repaired.
