It's ironic, I finally finished my first roll of 100UC! It's back from the lab today.

I did ask the local store about Ektar availability, they didn't know yet.

I am really excited about this film. I love high saturation grainless films -- my favourite is E100VS, but it's a slide film. (Although the name "Ektar" suggests that this new film will behave more like slide than negative...)

Apparently this is the first application of Vision technology to still film. Perhaps the motion picture heritage explains why it's only offered in 35mm for now?

I too would love to see this in 120. I have a new baby Crown Graphic with a 120 back that could use some Ektar!

I would love to try this, it would go great against my typical 400 ASA B&W seeing as how its the exact opposite of the film I normally use. now if I can only get my hands on an smc Pentax 'K' 17mm 1:4 to accompany this new film.

It's film like this that led me to the FAJ 18-35 and MZ-7.

Sorry for the rant, but one of my pet peeves is subject lines that don't mention the subject. Rant over.

Here's the announcement from Kodak:

KODAK PROFESSIONAL EKTAR 100 Film: Questions and Answers

Chris
It is in the film forum. Also, the keywords in the thread should show up on a search. Besides, Kodak Sensor got my attention since its the film forum. At least its not a "I'm cleaning out my shit" thread in the marketplace.
