The Nikon FM has all those features... why would FM owners be annoyed?
Sorry, I was having K1000 flashbacks in the middle of a MX thread...

It's a bit like telling someone who owns a Rolls-Royce that your Volkswagen has the 'same' features.

With the MX, it's actually not as much fun because it does do (on purpose, without any tricks) nearly everything a FM does.

Humorously, I also have a FM 'just in case' I come across a Nikon lens I have to have.

So far, my 50 mm series E is lonely...

At some point, they all blend together into one big fuzzy mind camera, eh?

Dunno about the 50, but the 100mm E series can't stand a comparison with the SMC-M 100/2.8, even though they are both as small as a lens can be (but the Pentax is even smaller)

The Nikon Series E 100/2.8 lens is very good. My brother had one he used with his Nikon FE.
I have owned various versions of the fabled 105/2.5 Nikkor lens and all were excellent.

I have no doubt about it
But it can't possibly better than the M 100/2.8, this just isn't possible within the laws of physics in the universe we live in!

P.S. my nickname in the Italian forum is emmefanatico, which translates to M-fanatic
