As a recovering collector I will start off stating that I have bought only one camera this year - a 1937 Photax viewfinder camera made out of bakelite, 2 shutter speeds, 2 apertures, dual format 645 or 6x9.
My reasoning was I didn't have a camera made in France. Does this make me a minimalist in some degree?

About 75 cameras (over 25 years) in my collection, 7 of them don't work, 3 of them require film no longer available.
I have a shelf called my army of compacts displaying: 6 Olympus Trip 35, 6 Konica C35, 6 Minolta Hi-Matic G and 1 Ricoh 35ZF
Family and friends have contributed 12 old film cameras to my collecltion.
My current go to cameras - Pentax LX / SV, Holga 120N, Hasselblad 503cx, Minolta AF50 Big Finder with other cameras in rotation.

Asahiflex IIa, Asahiflex IIb, AP, K, S, SV, S1, S2, S3, S3 (NOS/NIB), SP, ESII, SP-F, K1000, K1000SE, KX, K2, K2DMD, MX. MESuper, LX. SuperPROGRAM, SFX, SF1n, MZ-S, Olympus XA, Contax RTSII, Contax RX, Nikon F1a/DP-1, Nikon FE2, Yashica Mat, Rollei IkoFlex. 645. Nearly all the Asahi / Pentax cameras have been CLA’ed by Eric.

So 33, not counting rear caps for lenses I bought. I have a paper carton full of those. I though 33 was ridiculous until I saw @Bosse at 230 and @boriscleto at 63++

Frankly, I plan to sell everything but the AP, SV, KX MX LX and MZ-S over the coming year.

Wow, I'm showing my wife this thread -- some of you guys make my 2 Arca Swiss, 1 Pentax 67 and 2 old Canons look downright paltry. I should at least get to add another digital somewhere down the road ….

We should share some pictures and the story behind the purchase...

Mike Eckman wrote a review of the PC35AF and I had to have one...

These 2 arrived around the same time. I wish I could find an affordable 35-70/2.8 for the ME F. The Auto 110 is functional and came with 3 lenses (18, 24, 50). The winder even had a good battery door...

A shopgoodwill purchase. It was in a lot with a set of Kenko AF extension tubes, a PZ-70, F 35-80 & A 35-80.

I've got 24, if my memory serves me correctly. All but one have been used at some point in the last year — a Zorki that needs rangefinder adjustment — though a few are sitting in a box to be sold off once the local photo society's auction rolls around again.

Formats break down as: one 6x9, one 6x7, eight 6x6, one 4x4, and the rest standard 35mm.

I have one: Pentax LX with grip, winder and standard eyepiece. It satiated a lust which has burned since I was too young to afford one.

I had a Ricoh KR-10 in the 80's and a P30T in the 90's. I briefly owned a MZ-S and PZ-1 while I was testing lenses leading up to the K-1 release. I also had a Mamiya 645 for quite a while, but rarely used it.

Ben's photo of the PC35AF takes me back. I bought one in the mid 80's, second hand out of the front window of what was then George's Camera Store (now one of the Ted's chain) in Rundle Street, because I wanted an ultra-compact 35mm camera for a rather ambitious solo bush walk in southwest Tasmania. The walk was magnificent, but the camera failed on the second morning. I wrote a series of sonnets instead (fourteen in all!) to capture the memories

Hmm looks like I am a collector as well as user. 80 Pentax cameras from 110 to 6x7 Age range from Asahiflex , Pentax. through to my favourite LX, Z1 and the end of the line MZ-S. 90% are still functional and all are still kept proudly dust free and on display.

I have too many for my preference, a total of 5 functional cameras. Pentax 67, Pentax SuperProgram, Bronica ETRSi, Nikon F4, Nikkormat FTN. I’m tempted to ditch the Nikons and limit it to the two Pentax cameras and the Bronica. I’m fine stockpiling lenses, but I don’t like stockpiling cameras. (7 A lenses for the SP, 7 lenses for the 67, and 7 lenses for the Bronica.)

There are a couple others that I don’t count. I bought another Bronica to get the focusing screen out of it. I have a Pentax SF10 somewhere that I bought to get the attached lens, but have no interest or desire in the camera.

I'm not sure how many I currently have. I had 24, but this past year I've added quite a few, with another in the mail headed to me now. My most used currently are my Spotmatic SP, Pentax LX, K1000, MZ-6 and *ist (had to have the last one they made). I have a Voigtlander Bessa coming, which was the only camera I sold and regretted.

I have a Pentax K-1000. The last time I used it it functioned alright. That was before I got my first dslr, the Pentax K-20D..
