Over the years I had an ME, ME SE, ME Super, ME Super SE and Program Plus. Currently I have a Super Program (mint and functioning perfectly) Three ME Supers with winding issues and an ME. I hope to get one of the ME Supers running soon.

I'm glad you got your collection down to a reasonable level.

I don't have access to a NASA computer.
In my case processing power would not be an issue, it would just need to have enough security so that no-one could get into it, extract the list and blackmail me by threatening to show it to my wife.

All mine are functional: Chinon CPM7, MX, ME Super, Minolta SRT201, X-370, XD-11. I've also a PZ-1P on the way.

I picked this up locally today for next to nothing. I installed a battery when I got home, and BAM! Everything works fine. It's quite a beast. I think it could survive the apocalypse. then lens that came on it seems decent and is very clean. Also got a nice camera bag.

I take it, its a FT3? I've had a FTN for about 25 years. Its been modified for 1.5v batteries. I pulled it out of a draw 6 months ago, and it worked perfectly. Even the 20 year old battery was still good. They'll run forever.

I just jotted down my collection. here is what works -

Pentax Pz1p
Pentax Pz1
Pentax K2 (x2)
Pentax MX (x2)
Pentax ME Super
Pentax KM
Pentax KX
Pentax K1000
Pentax P3N (x2)
Pentax Program Plus

Here is what doesn't work.

Crown Graphic (need a lens and lensboard)
Pentax MX (x3)
Mamiya C330 with 180mm lens
Pentax LX with winder

I'd like to get the Crown Graphic up and running and pick up a nice Hassy kit if I can, and get one of the broken MX cameras fixed.

Nikkormat/Nikomat FT2 and FT3 models use modern 1.5V batteries, 44/76/357 types.
The FT2 is non-AI; FT3 is AI. I have owned both.

All models in the series are heavy, durable and very dependable.
It is said they were marketed as backup cameras for professionals
using Nikon F/F2 models and made to similar standards.

The main reason I like my FTN is (and I know this is shallow) it doesn't have a flash shoe. I never use flash, and pentaprisms look so beautiful without a shoe interrupting the lines. My SV may be one of the best looking cameras ever.

I have:

K1000:
The one I have isn't the exact same one that I grew up with... but this is the camera that started it all! (I truly imagine I'd be shooting with a different company if not for this) I just genuinely love the fully manual controls. I don't think I've ever even had the battery in any of them. It really helped build up my understanding of the triangle and trust in my own ability to read analyze a situation

Super Program ME:
I really don't ever use this. I would probably give this camera away. I think it's clunky, as all of the 'electronic' features are so hard to scroll through. It is the one moment which gives no pleasure using. I get very little joy from this camera, especially when I have the other ones

p30:
I don't have this one anymore... as I gave it to a student's family (who probably doesn't use it ever), when I gave them my APS-C kit. This one is a kind of mixed bag. I like the color indicator in the viewfinder. I'm sure its not true, but I also get a very small/compact feeling when using this camera... like when I used to have my Sony a6000.

ZX-5:
For when I want something with more 'modern;electronic'

Want: 6x7 or 645
I have a friend who shoots with her 6x7 (she otherwise shoots Canon, but uses a 6x7 for high details), and I've never used a Medium-Format camera...

A nice 6x7 kit would be pretty killer.

Is it considered "poor form" to remove the "rabbit ears" from Nikon lenses when not needed?

I was wondering that also. I have an FM with a 50mm 1.8 and was thinking about taking them off.
