I count 54 film cameras, of which 20 are Pentaxes, including 2 ME Supers and 2 Super Programs. This is the latest film camera, given to me by a friend who was cleaning house:

Thanks. They don’t do anything for me.

Mirandas are interesting. The lenses don't seem to age as well as the bodies, though. Most of the lenses I've acquired for Miranda cameras have frozen focus or aperture rings. The 50mm lenses seem to be a bit more durable, though.

I like the simplicity of the SP1000. It's the only model Spotmatic series body I kept.

You're probably right. The focus ring of the 50mm f1.8 that came with the camera was frozen solid. Fortunately, replacements are cheap; I got one in very good condition for $26. Unfortunately, adapters for Miranda to digital are a little harder to come by; as far as I can tell, only Fotodiox has one.

I'm surprised that videographers don't pay more attention to the Sensorex lenses--the external aperture coupling arm allows smooth adjustment of the stepless diaphragm.

I bought a Miranda camera last September along with a 35/2.8 and, separately, a 50/1.8. The focusing on the 50mm is very stiff indeed and the focusing on the camera is off due to something somewhere being out of alignment. I should really have returned the whole lot but I waited too long and now I'm stuck with it. More items in the "not working" box in my wardrobe.

I wanted to try a Miranda SLR, but not wanting to add another set of lenses to
my collection, I chose a Miranda TM. It's a Sensomat RE with M42 lens mount.

AFAIK many Mirandas came with Soligor brand lenses.

I'm pretty sure all Mirandas came with Soligor lenses. The company that owned Miranda owned the Soligor name.
