Exciting news, being out of the loop for a while I didn't know that.

it's quite an expensive product at least in the UK.

It's pretty expensive in Canada as well, especially now that there is not a single local lab that processes E-6...

That would be my next question, is there a list of labs who can delevop E-6?

Anyway, how does the film behave? I don't see many shots with it online.

Borealis in Montreal processes it... so that's not quite local. Downtown Camera in Toronto collects it and sends to Borealis.

The '90's are over!

All your local Main Street/High Street minilabs have been gone for a long time now folks.
Fortunately there are plenty of good mail-order labs that process E-6. Try it, you'll like it.

I've shot a fair about of it since it was released and have another 25 rolls or so in my freezer. It's really good, but different than the old E100G it replaced.

Defiantly worth trying it out. I've posted some shots here on the forum.

Along with all my slides, (negatives and old family photos as well)
I lost my trusty old Kodak Carousel projector in Superstorm Sandy.

I have since replaced it with a late model Elmo Carousel-type projector,
but I haven't had any slides to view.

I'm looking forward to trying out new Ektachrome and my new projector!

Really? I've sent it to Borealis before, but I didn't know that downtown camera also sends it to Borealis...

Manitoba is somewhat lucky as there is a lab in Winnipeg that does E6, and accepts it by mail.

Of course, then you have to pay like twenty bucks for them to ship the film back. All told, each roll costs about 60 bucks, counting the cost of the roll, developing, scanning, and shipping. Hence why I'm saving the 'chrome for a paid gig.

It seems that it should be available in 120 format later in the year. 👍

AG Photographic has rolls for £14, or £19 with pre-paid development.

Downtown Camera has also teamed up with E6it! to re-introduce E6 processing locally in Toronto.
One to two weeks turnaround depending on when you drop it off at their store.

E6it! will also do push processing of up to 2 stops if necessary. I just got a roll of E100G back that I had to have pushed, and I have to say I was impressed by the results.

I'll post some shots from it once I can get some of the scans up on Flickr.

Edit: A pair of shots
